About

Abby Pane Jaske was born into a family of storytellers. She took on the family documentarian role at an early age and wanted nothing more than the pink Polaroid Cool Cam for her 9th birthday. In the old days of darkrooms and film developing, she studied photography in high school and at Sacramento City College. She graduated from University of California at Santa Cruz in Film and Digital Media with a special focus on documentary production. Her first post graduation job was traveling around Northern California interviewing the grandfathers of the garbage and recycling industry. For the past 15 years she worked for educational cable helping students share their stories through video. Born and raised in Sacramento, she is proud to help train the next generation of storytellers in her hometown and help families do the same. She shares her days with her husband, two children, two chickens and Chihuahua.
